Excited to share that I've just started my journey as a Legalisation Administrator at Argentum Attestation FZ LLC !As I wrap up my first week, I've already gained some valuable insights:Attention to Detail Matters: In reviewing documents for authentication, I've learned the critical importance of meticulousattention to detail. Catching a small discrepancy in a client's paperwork can save potential delays in thelegalisation process.Effective Communication is Key:Whether liaising with clients, government agencies, or internal teams, clear and concise communication is essential.Time Management is Crucial: With multiple documents to process and deadlines to meet, effective time management is a must.Adaptability is a Strength: The legalisation landscape can be unpredictable, with regulations and requirements subject to change. Here's to a fulfilling journey ahead in this role, where each day brings new opportunities for growth and contribution!Just want to thank Jessica Munden and Isabella MacSorley for being so welcoming and patient with me.

Director of Business Relations | 952-592-3528 | alexh@jordantransformer.com | Remanufacturing substation power transformers and mobile substations (10MVA-80MVA, 69kV-230kV) in half the time of an OEM

I’m thrilled to announce I’ve accepted a new role as Director of Business Relations with Jordan Transformer LLC! "What do you do?" Glad you asked! Since 1973, Jordan Transformer has rebuilt substation power transformers and mobile substations from virtually every original manufacturer (OEM) to like-new condition. "Why remanufacture instead of buying new?" Great question! 1) Time: Jordan Transformer typically takes months (and sometimes years) less than new OEM manufacturers which require extensive design time for new transformers.2) Plug-and-Play Functionality: Remanufacturing an existing transformer allows for a seamless connection to the original substation footprint, avoiding extensive reconstruction and substation re-engineering.3) Built to Last: A redesigned and remanufactured substation transformer delivers the best of both worlds: A vintage and robust design coupled with today’s latest design software and using state-of-the-art materials to maximize longevity.4) Eco-friendly: We reuse the steel (core, tank, radiators, laminations, etc.) and recycle the copper and mineral oil. Thank you to everyone who met with me one-on-one during this period of transition! I’ve made so many new friends. I’d especially love to shout out one person who has been particularly amazing to me during this period of transition. I don’t know how he does it, but Ben Nicholas has a knack for reaching out at the perfect time and always with something to say that brings me comfort and/or makes me smile. That impact is something I try to emulate, and Ben is the gold standard. It's also no surprise that the person who brought me the Jordan Transformer opportunity was someone Ben introduced me to a year ago. You’ll see other shoutouts and networking/job search tips over the next few months from me. I am excited to continue to pay it forward to those who are still looking for a new role.

Your first day at a new job can either motivate or demoralize you. There is nothing that beats your first day at a new job as a new employee. First day says all about the company and your stay there. Nothing frustrates or demoralize an new employee like getting to a company where you were not even expected. Nothing was prepared for you, no one knows what to do to get you settled. You spend the whole day doing absolutely nothing. Please share your first day experience at any of your new jobs.

Starting a new job can often be a daunting experience, especially when it comes to tackling the first major task. Despite having the necessary skills and knowledge for the job, it can feel like everything is working against you. From dealing with repetitive bugs and technical glitches to encountering deployment issues, it's not uncommon for things to go wrong during this initial phase. This can be frustrating, and it's understandable why some people may start to feel like they don't belong or suffer from imposter syndrome. However, it's essential to remind yourself that you were hired for a reason and that you are more than capable of overcoming any challenges that may arise. Stay confident, and focused, and take things one step at a time, and you'll soon find yourself settled into your new role.

I am looking to start a new career. I have learned so much from my previous employer. I could never repay the knowledge learned over a 20-year period. I will forever be thankful. Since I cannot repay the knowledge I learned, I will do my best to treat the knowledge learned with the upmost respect and honor. I have done a lot of thinking about what I want to do with the next part of my career. It came to me that before I can start looking for the next opportunity, I need to know what my personal mission statement is and what is my personal core values. It is important that my values and mission align with my next employer. This is a work in process, but I wanted to share. My hope is that it inspires at least one person to think out outside of the box, or if they are limited in resources think about what is available inside the box you are working with. Personal Mission statement– Is to stay positive in everything I do, both professionally andpersonally. I will provide excellent service with highest’s level of respectand integrity. I will listen with purpose to provide the customer with theright solution to their building product needs. I will accomplish my Mission by:-Treating all customers with the highest level of Integrity.-Showing all customers, the same high-level of Respect.-Staying Customer Focused on all times providing vendor and associate partners with accurate information on the customer’s needs to provider the customers with the highest level of service. Core Values: Respect, Customer Focused, and Integrity

1 Year Ago Today, I Left Retail After 17 YearsIt's been one year since I left my job in retail after 17 years. It was a difficult decision, but it was the right one for me. I was burnt out and ready for a change... I started my career in retail as a customer assistant when I was 16 years old. I worked my way up to Store Manager over the years. I learned a lot about customer service, sales, and management during my time in retail. It was all I knew...But after 17 years, I was ready for something new. I wanted to try something I had no knowledge in and see how transferrable my skills could be. I also wanted to work in a job that was more challenging and rewarding.I started my job search and eventually landed a job in the storage and removals industry. I'm now General Manager for a removal & storage company and I am loving every moment! Who doesn't grow up having dreams of working in this industry? 😂 I'm writing this post to encourage anyone who is thinking about leaving retail. It's not easy to make a change, but it can be so worth it. If you're feeling burnt out or like you're not growing in your current role, it's time to start looking for something new...There are so many other industries out there that offer great opportunities. You just need to be willing to step outside of your comfort zone and explore your options...Making a career change can be daunting, but it's definitely possible. If you're feeling stuck in retail, don't be afraid to take the leap. You might be surprised at how much you enjoy your new career...If you're a retail worker who is thinking about making a career change, I encourage you to reach out to me. I'm happy to share my experiences and offer advice... Know your worth!! 🍾
