Optimise your Idleon characters with this best special talents guide which includes recommendations for all Idleon star talents to maximise your fighting and skilling power. With a large number to unlock and your star talent points being limited players are constantly presented with the difficult decision of where to invest these points for maximum effect. Unlocked slowly throughout your adventure special talents are also easy to overlook given the other Idleon progression mechanics that players are drawn towards.

In addition to a clear set of star talents to prioritise this guide details how to obtain each talent, recommended builds as you progress through each game world and my personal suggestions based on thousands of Idleon gameplay hours. By combining these shared special (also known as star) talents with class specific Idleon talent guides players can optimise each character for their active, fighting or skilling needs.

Star Talents Overview

Special Talent books in Idleon allow players to access different star talents that use star talent points to increase their level with the following mechanics:

• Once a special talent is unlocked it is available for every character on your account. Like other talents though the points invested are unique to each character and talent preset.
• Points in the star talent tab are earned in a similar way to your core talent points. This includes character levels, skill levels and other account systems (e.g. achievements, cards, bribes and guild bonuses).
• Special talents can be reset by crafting star talent reset potions on the second anvil tab. They are also available in the Idleon gem shop although I recommend players always craft the reset.
• Special talent books are available from diverse sources including quests, purchased directly, world merit shops, party dungeon progress or dropped from bosses.

Example Core Star Talent Builds By World

These example builds provide beginner players a core target to aim for when assigning star talent points as you progress through each Idleon world. As all Idleon accounts are different players wanting to min-max their account should combine these core talent templates with the tier list at the end of this page as this section only includes the critical talents that are most effective for account progression. Each world builds on the previous world and thus special talents are not repeated for every world unless the recommended max level changes and are listed in order of priority if you do not have enough points available.

Idleon Best Star Talent Tier List

The tier list below includes all star talents currently available, how to unlock them and my suggestions on how to invest your limited star talent points. Talents are listed in left to right, top-down order based on the talent window in game and players should generally max talents in the tier order unless otherwise noted below.

The tier rating of each talent follows a S>A>B>C rating system where:

• S Tier: The best star talents that should be prioritised above all else in the appropriate build (skilling or fighting) when available as they provide the highest account gains or utility.
• A Tier: Strong special talents that are a high priority but only after you’ve maxed your S tier special talents (or don’t have them available yet) and have extra star talent points.
• B Tier: Lack the power of S and A tier options but useful in certain situations (refer to notes)
• C Tier: Should be avoided at all costs and aren’t worth using your limited special talent points.

Bored To Death	Weekly Battles Shop (W2)	Reduces character respawn timer (increased AFK survival percentage)	C	Players can boost survival percentage through equipment and food instead of this talent.
Beginner Best Class	Create a Journeyman	Gives +1 weapon power for every 10 levels of your highest level beginner. For example a level 30 beginner will mean you can invest 3 points into this talent on your other characters to obtain 3 weapon power	S	Weapon power is a powerful stat throughout your game progress and this special talent should always be invested in as your Journeyman/Maestro/Voidwalker class grows in levels.
Studios Quester	Complete a Royal Worm quest (Let the Tails Hit the Floor) in W4	Additional skill efficiency per quest completed.	S	Boosts to skill efficiency will improve your resource gains. The effectiveness of this talent will depend on how diligent you are with quests across your account although even core important quests on characters can quickly add up. Note that given each star talent point increases the cap this talent it will only take a few star talent points to maximise the benefit so don’t overspend points.
Quest Chungus	Dropped from crystal enemies (any world)	+ LUK for every quest completed, capped at 4 per point invested	B	A difficult special talent to acquire that will require some crystal monster farming. LUK provides a boost to all your characters drop rate and experience gain slightly so worth the investment eventually and is more powerful for beginner class characters.
Crystals 4 Dayys	A reward from the sixth quest in the Picnic Stowaway daily questline (The Last Supper, at Least for Today!)	Higher chance to spawn crystal monsters	S	Required for farming crystal mobs actively which is important for Idleon progression.
Will Of The Eldest	Complete the Scripticus quest to defeat Amarok (The Bigger they are, the Bigger they Fall!)	+1 to all stats based on every 10 levels of your highest Idleon character.	B	An early acquired special talent this can be used for a small damage and accuracy boost although mid to late game is inconsequential.
Tick Tock	Purchase from the alchemy liquid shop for 50 water droplets	Increased AFK gains for skills and fighting	S	A W2 priority should be to reach 50 maximum liquid capacity to purchase this as its a significant boost to AFK gains. The max level varies with each purchase so when you are new to alchemy I recommend a level of around 84 initially based on diminishing returns and allows you to spend your precious alchemy liquid on other important activities. Eventually players will be able to obtain a 204 level book after unlocking the Equinox Valley and this special talent is absolutely worth maxing at that point.
Stonks!	Wellington final quest (pig located at Sands of Time map)	Provides special talent points	S	This is essentially free special talent points to level 27 as each point gives more special talent points than it costs until then.
Roll Da Dice	Can be found anywhere in Blunder Hills (W1) including mining and chopping	Rolls a dice (10,000 sides at level 1) that gives a special trophy if it lands on 1	B	The trophy itself is decent on a beginner as it gives 2% LUK and can be maxed temporarily on an active character until you get at least one trophy.
Attacks on Simmer	Like Roll Da Dice above can be found anywhere in Blunder Hills (W1) including mining and chopping	Attack moves (on your attack bar) boost AFK gains more than default	S	A key talent to boost your AFK gains in fighting and some skills (e.g. mining) as it improves the benefit of attack talents.
Toilet Paper Postage	From TP Pete in the Rats Nest location by saying “More like Poopy Pete” in chat	Stamps with skill efficiency give higher bonus	B	Early on stamps provide only a small boost to efficiency so this is not worth investment. As you reach high level stamps though this is worth levelling and is particularly important for World 4 cooking efficiency.
EXP Converter	Provided by Glumlee in the Tunnels Entrance at level 11 mining by completing his quest (The Impossible Task)	Converts skill experienced gained (e.g. mining) into class experience	C	Not an important special talent as skill experience conversion to class experience is unnecessary.
Goblet Of Hemoglobin	Purchased from the Blunder Hills (W1) Merit Shop	Adds health regeneration per monster kill (including for AFK)	A	An important talent as you enter W2 and beyond as it adds survivability to your characters allowing them to AFK longer and consume less food. I recommend at least level 15 during W2 as needed and then pushing this to level 30 in W3 at a minimum with more points invested as necessary to progress.

Frothy Malk	Same as Just EXP above	Increases food boosts	A	A useful talent to optimise the benefits of food (such as skilling or movement speed).
Convert Better, Darnit	Purchased from the Yum-Yum Desert (W2) Merit Shop	Improves the EXP Converter from page 1	C	Similar to the skill it improves this is simply not useful to progression.
Pulsation	Drops from Biggie Hours or King Doot if you have points in the Yum-Yum Desert Merit Shop special talent drop	Boosts mana regeneration rate	C	Even when playing active players will not need the additional mana regeneration.
Cardiovascular	Same as Pulsation above	Increases card drop rate	S	With many great cards in Idleon this will help you max them faster.
Milkyway Candy	Purchase from Flurbo Shop (party dungeon)	Chance to get Time Candy when you AFK for longer than 30hrs	B	Limited use for most Idleon players unless you regularly don’t visit your characters for 30+ hours.
Telekinetic Storage	Purchase from the Frostbite Tundra (W3) Merit Shop	Deposit items in your inventory directly into storage (destroys items on ground) and boosts passive carry capacity	S	An amazing quality of life talent and 1 point wonder that means reduced trips back to town. Only a single point is necessary as the cooldown is already low and the passive carry cap is negligible although still useful to push stamp maximum levels.
Printer Sampling	Complete a Hoggindaz quest (Constructing a Tower) in W3	Cast a sample of your AFK gains to be used in the 3D printer	S	Maxing this is important as it increases your sample from 10% to 17.5% for the 3D printer for passive resource gain.
Supersource	Purchase from Flurbo Shop (party dungeon)	Base efficiency for all resource skills	S	A base efficiency boost to your skilling presets is important and will be further boosted by your % efficiency boosts.
Action Frenzy	Purchase from Flurbo Shop (party dungeon)	Increases speed for skills	S	An important talent for helping players reach maximum skilling speed when skilling or for 3D printer samples.
Dungeonic Damage	Purchase from Flurbo Shop (party dungeon)	Damage % boost based on Dungeon Credits earned	A	One of the better damage focused talents if you are a diligent party dungeon participant.
Shrine Architect	Complete a Hoggindaz quest (Taking Samples) in W3	Allows you to place shrines and boosts charge time	S	Similar to Printer Sampling this is a special talent prerequisite to using a W3 mechanic. One point on all characters is useful here so you can move your shrines as necessary. The increased charge time can make this worth maxing with spare points as well.
Mega Crit	Purchase from Flurbo Shop (party dungeon)	Boosts critical chance with a damage boost if you achieve over 100% critical.	A	Can allow players to obtain the necessary critical chance to achieve 100% or provide a damage boost instead for active play by unlocking the mega crit attack which is a huge damage source once you have the critical required later game.

Once you go above 200% though its effectiveness is weakened until you acquire Overaccurate Crit to capitalise on the accuracy boost.
Ubercharged Health	VIP Talent Library	Increases Base HP	C	An average talent that can be upgraded as a lower priority given players do earn some extra damage and mining efficiency based on HP.
Coins for Charon	VIP Talent Library	Boosts coin drops based on multikill damage tier	B	A reasonable boost to coins gained at late game damage progress when coin farming is your focus.
American Tipper	VIP Talent Library	Increases coins gained for every 10 levels in cooking skill	C	Another money based talent but cooking levels do not come easy that limits its effectiveness.
Overaccurate Crit	VIP Talent Library	Adds critical chance for excess accuracy	A	Pairs nicely with Tiptoe Quickness and Mega Crit as it rewards players to keep pushing their accuracy numbers higher which will happen late game due to the wealth of base stats you acquire and makes it easy to hit 200% critical chance for guaranteed mega crits.
Filthy Damage	Island Expeditions	Increased damage for power of 10 Garbage	C	Increasing your damage based on garbage currency makes this a weak star talent as you’ll generally be spending garbage you acquire for benefits on Trash Island and it accumulates slowly.
Rando Event Looty	Island Expeditions	Increased AFK gains per random event item found	A	A decent talent that can provide a reasonable boost (4-5% AFK gains) across all characters if you collect the random event rare items but they will take a time and focus.
Spice Spillage	Purchased from the Hyperion Nebula (W4) Merit Shop	Chance to claim all pet spices when claiming 1hr+ AFK gains	B	A convenience focused talent that helps to collect spices from W4 automatically. This quality of life can be worth investment with spare points across characters to minimise the micromanagement of your Idleon account.
Stat Overload	Purchased from the Smolderin Plateau (W5) Merit Shop	Total STR, AGI, WIS and LUK	B	With a massive 300 to all of your stats this is a good leftover point special talent after other priorities. While stat is an effective source of damage and skilling boosts the stats gained from this talent cannot be boosted by all stat % which makes 300 small in the scheme of things as you progress.
Dummy Thicc Stats	Island Expeditions	Adds critical chance for excess accuracy	A	Provides players a few percentage points of all stat that scales as your damage increases and likely provides more value to your account than Stat Overload when later in your progression for less star talent points invested.

Boss Battle Spillover	Weekly Battles Shop in W2 for 25 trophies	Increases drop rate based on the boss difficulty level defeated	A	Drop rate is always useful for active or AFK gains. Given it scales based on the number of weekly bosses defeated it shines once players can progress through a few levels of weekly bosses and ensure they complete them in a timely manner as the buff from this special talent resets each week alongside the boss battle reset in W2.
Dreamer Damage	Unlock Equinox Valley in W3 (map after Bloodbones with an Equinox Mirror)	Increases damage per Equinox Dream cloud completed	B	Another source of damage through special talents although the damage per rank is relatively small in addition to there being a small pool of clouds that can be completed.
