Mr. Macaskill was honorable discharged on February 1st 1946. After the war, he attended St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, Loyola University and the University of Chicago. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in philosophy and a Masters in library science. He married Noreen Ellen [Cox] and they started a family.
