Martin Blog (8/21): The KMA Sports Predictor Thingie projects every Iowa football district (2024)

(KMAland) — We are just two days away from the beginning of the 2024 high school football season. We’ve previewed every area district and come up with the highly questionable and controversial KMA Sports Predictor Thingie (KSPT).

So, what do you do when something causes controversy? You double down. Controversy equals cash, Eric Bischoff once said. What I’ve done is go through the rest of the districts across the state — from 8-Player up through Class 4A — and used the KSPT to handicap the entire state.

For those that don’t know, the KSPT basically is just an accumulating total of returnees that started at quarterback, rushed for 100 or more yards, received for 100 or more yards, finished with 20.0 or more tackles or 2.0 or more TFL, interceptions and/or fumble recoveries, posted 100 or more return yards and/or were the primary kicker or punter in 2023. I then add that number to the team’s total district wins from 2023.

And today, I’m showing you what I’ve found. Listed below you will see each district with the district teams listed in order of their KSPT projection. Any ties were broken by which team finished higher in district play a year ago. After all, success breeds success. Here you go:
