For those who don’t know, there are marketplace threads online dedicated to selling scraped ScreenConnect portal URLs. Has been a thing for a long time. If you’re hosting ScreenConnext on-prem and were running the exploited version for more than 24 hours without firewall rules preventing bad actors from hitting the portal, then chances are, you’ve been PWNED.The scale of this breach will come to be more easily appreciated over the next 90 days.

Hello Connections,Today I learned about an interesting thing called "Infostealer Malware" which nowadays a least appreciated but most concerned matter.Those malwares which are stealing logs or we can say information of the victimto use it anywhere whether it is website, or any social media application, etc.The most interesting thing about these malwares are business tactics, they get information from the victim by luring them into various offers, such as getting some dollars in exchange for crypto or lifetime free gaming licenses.Couple of Open Source dealers are also there, where people are just forking the repos and building their own Infostealer.ex : MacOS to steal information from MacOS users.One of the famous Infostealer is Redlinewhich logs users data into its database, for futher attacks and exploitation, and for that one of the attack example can also be taken of social engineering.#malware #infosec #socialengineering
