Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is often talked about as a “super elixir” that can help you lose weight and improve your health so much that you might as well forget about modern medicine.
While this may not be quite the truth, the case for including apple cider vinegar in your daily intake is certainly strong and most definitely warrants your attention.
The only problem is that getting it down the hatch is a little bothersome due to the taste and is an immediate turn-off for new recruits.
Luckily for us, there is more than one way to consume apple cider vinegar, and by combining this miracle liquid with a selection of other (tastier) ingredients, you will have a concoction that will not only taste good but do your body good too.
Here’s a simple and delicious apple cider vinegar drink recipe that can help you lose weight and feel your best.
Apple Cider Vinegar Recipe: Digestion-Aid Tonic
As we get older, our bodies’ natural stomach acidity goes down, which makes it a little harder for us to digest food. This is not good news for gas and bloating.
ACV can help relieve some of the symptoms of bad digestion, like gas and bloating, when used as a digestive aid. However, as I mentioned above, taking it straight is fear inducing.
It has been demonstrated that ACV increases metabolism and encourages fat burning, making it a powerful weight loss aid.
This tonic made up of ACV, grapefruit, lemon, cinnamon, and honey is much tastier and full of added benefits such as:
Honey
Source of antioxidants, removes free radicals which contribute to damage in the digestive tract, helps relieve acidity. Adds a little sweet to the bitter.
Apple Cider
Antimicrobial, killing gas causing bacteria in the stomach relieving bloating symptoms. As ACV is acidic, it may also raise stomach acidity levels which will aid in the digestion process (faster digestion means less bloating)

Lemon
Alkalising. lemon juice helps to loosen the toxins floating around in your GI tract, relieve the painful symptoms that accompany indigestion, and even reduce the risk of burping and bloating resulting from excess gas production in your gut. Lemon water can keep your digestive system purring like a kitty all day long.
Cinnamon
Natural diuretic, helps reduce inflammation which leads to excess gas production and thus bloating. Helps to increase fat burning potential.
** Combine all ingredients with approximately 1/4 cup cold water + 1/4 cup of hot water (depending on your preference) and stir**
Aim to consume this tonic a half hour prior to meals 3 times a day for best results. This will allow the ingredients to prepare the stomach for digestion.
Check out the full Apple Cider Vinegar drink recipe below. I can’t wait for you to try this out for yourself, and I would love to hear from you if you have.
In summary, this Apple cider vinegar drink recipe can help control blood sugar, make digestion better, and even lower cholesterol.
The honey adds a little sweetness, and the lemon juice and cinnamon add flavour and are good for your health.
Keep in mind: When drinking ACV or other acidic drinks, it’s best to drink through a straw to keep your teeth from getting hurt.
Due to its high acidity levels, do not consume grapefruit with any prescription medications unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare instructor.
If unsure whether this tonic may be right for you, please check in with your doctor or healthcare provider prior to consuming.

Good morning from London
I am just completing the 14 day challenge and have been drinking the potion you recommended three times a day before meals. Can you confirm that this drink should be making my bowel movements open more than once daily.

I’m so happy to have found your workouts and your videos. Having had a couple of surgeries it has been difficult for me to find workout routines that are doable and actually benefit me without aggravating my injuries.
Thank you ????Reply
I just saw this on utube yesterday and began using it today. It is awesome – way better than either a shot of the organic apple cider vinegar alone, or a glass of water and lemon. Tonight I will try to co*cktail version as an aperitif before dinner! Thanks….

Hi Scheller, first I want to thank you for your do able workouts. I have been doing them for a month originally to get ready for trading at my job. When I did the training, I kept up with the 30 and below crowd. I said wow this works! So I’m still doing a 15 to 30 min workout now. I’m also intermittent fasting and was wondering if I am drinking the acv will interfere with that? Also do you have excercises for the fupa. That’s the area under the stomach? Again thanks again for all fun … keep up the great work.

Hi Schellea, I am 63 and have been fairly fit most of my life. Over the first wave of Covid here in Ontario,Canada, we had just returned from a trip to Thailand and the usual few pounds were added because of vacation time, however as the first wave settled in, i remained on “vacation” eating my way thru the emotions and boredom. A call from my Doctor late fall, alerted me to a cholesterol problem which left me feeling guilty because I knew that I wasn’t doing my best. Fast forward to New Years, and a resolution to stop procrastination, I found one of your you tube videos and have been hooked ever since. I am down 25 lbs and I feel “fabulous”. I had tried to lose weight over the last few years but nothing worked, and work out classes left me feeling inadequate and guilty because I was out of shape. I faithfully show up every day and changed up the videos and it worked, along with watching what I ate. thank you so much for your dedication and inspiration! Wishing you continued success in your life’s passion.

I, by accident, found your website. I am going to try the vinegar concoction. Thanks for posting. Hope it works. I need to loose 70 lbs. at least. Will comment again in a few weeks whether it is successful for me. I have tried so many things and nothing works. I am hypothyroid; have been for 18 years. That complicates weight loss.

Hi,
My friend and I exercise to your routines every day. We feel healthier and stronger. So, we thank you.
I have a question regarding the ACV drink. Exactly how much water do you use and could you make up to a 2 or 3 day supply at one time?Thank you.

I will try this 🙂
I will add, though, that in EU we had some commotion about cinnamon.
Turns out that the there is ceylon and cassia cinnamon and the latter can be toxic:https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/side-effects-of-cinnamon#1.-May-Cause-Liver-Damage
So stick to the ceylon version! 🙂

Hi Schellea, I am over 50, need to leave behind a few kilos (5-10). This morning I tested the Apple vinager recipe. I couldn’t tolerate it and got very sick. Still feel weak several hours after. I am not sure this is a remedy for everyone.
Otherwise I appreciate a lot your videos and counsels.Reply
